Directions:
Northbound: Travel I-35 through Denton to Exit 474 (just past Love's Truck Stop). Stay on the service road and continue on through the U-turn under the interstate. The track will be on your right.

Southbound: South I-35 through Sanger take Exit 473 (Love's Truck Stop). Cross overpass and stay on the service road. The track will be on your right.

yea but "the shop" aka my dads shop is 30 mins away. i'll have a shop one of these days.

Alrighty, race day is here on Saturday. Racers and fans, this is a late start event ( at least what we are used to at TR). Gates open at 6:00 PM.  This is normally a t-n-t night with a show. Open TT's probably around 6:30-7:00. We normally run our first round following the normal show night class/classes first round.

This should be a very fun night. Heavy duty nitrous cars and nitro funny cars. My kind

Good luck today West side. I am out here in sunny/muggy/hot and miserable Miami Florida and I just got off of work and will catch a couple of hours of sleep and then drive up to Orlando to do some work tonight and tomorrow nightand then head back down toward S.Florida to work at two more stores before I can possible be able to come home and then who knows what will come up before the end of next week.

I think hurricane season starts today. I plan to attend and head up the NMDRA tonite cause I hurt it last week and ain't fixed er' yet.

Man-o-man, another good day at the races, at least, for most of us. A very fast night for all the big dawg nitrous cars that where there. Chad Dailey is working with one of the TexasTrueTen.5 drag radial cars that where there. They where #1 qualifier in their class with a 5.62. I saw an old VW friend, Gary Epperson. His son, Cameron, runs in the drag radial class too. It sure was fun watching the big brother nitrous cars.

Seven VW's where in attenance. Ray Salinas ended up having a trans issue and did not make the first round. A couple of new cars where there. Raymond  Nolen in the "WarBird" and Jose Gomez in "Code Blue" turbo bug (with Tom Jenkins as the crew chief). Both of these guys have been working for months to get their cars ready to run with the big dawgs.

When the first round rolled around, it's payback time for Dad. I drew Raymond in the first round. Raymond has had my number for the longest time in his old drag buggie. Well, this time, dear old Dad puts his son on the trailer. Raymond goes red while I cut a .012 RT and run a 6.736 on a 6.73 dail. In the semi final round, I draw Rick Tarter as Bubba Clifton gets the bye run. I dail a 6.70 to Rick's 8.84. I'm dead late with a .097 RT to Ricks lazy .062 RT. I survive the round with a, on the brakes, 6.74 at 94 mph (normal 102 mph) to Rick's way off the dail 8.95.

Final round, Bubba dails a 7.65 to my 6.68. Bubba is off first with a .026 RT to my .060. I try to run him down and fall a little short to his 7.68 to my 6.72. Congrats to Bubba for taking the win.

This is one of the better nights for me. My car went fairly straight most of the time, lol. Hey, if the car went dead straight all the time, how boring, haha. I ran 6.80, 6.77, 6.73, 6.74, 6.72. Nitrous, got to love it baby

Had a good time last night.  Made it to our 1st final, but lost on a holeshot, 5.66 to a 5.68.

Good to see all you VW guys out there.  Keeps me motivated on working on my own junk!
