I was informed by the staff at Denton that the track had been booked by a car club on Aug 29th. Due to that fact, we are unable to race at Denton this Sat Aug 29th. I really did not want to loose this date as our schedule for the rest of the year is tight. So, I contacted Cindi at Texas Raceway to see if we could move the race to there for this weekends double sponsor race. Cindi gave us the double thumbs up to play at TR this weekend.
So, this Sat Aug 29th, the race is at Texas Raceway.
See ya'll there,
Carl

Im planning on trying to run the car for the first time in a yr since my major neck surgery. Im waiting on a axle for the car and hoping to have it in time, if I get it late and with the change in tracks I may still go out to Denton cause of the late start (6pm) because they still show Fun- Gudge.

Man, another great night at the track. Cool breeze blowing in and not too hot. A lot of money up for grabs with the double sponsor race. We added another car to the Tvwdra 6 second club with Raymond juic'in the Warbird to a 6.93. This was the first night that Raymond juiced his car. Everything went to plan and the car went faster everytime he made a pass. The ole WarBird sure looks good at night on the track. Very solid leaving car. 7 cars made it to the first round. Bubba welded me to the tree with a .001 RT but missed 2nd gear allowing me to cruise for the win. In the sem'i, I just flat went brain dead and did wayyy too much burnout. Got the tires wayy too sticky and dead lock the tires. Caused the motor to bogg and I was done, off the dail. Rick was having a good night with low RT's and staying real close to his dail. In the final, both racers ran it out the back with Raymond breaking out the most. But hey, I'll take that 6.93 for the Warbird on it's first night of juic'in. Great job to everyone. A big thanks to the night's sponsors: O'Reilly Auto Parts Graffeo Gearboxes Reliable Protection Systems Rick had a good day at the office taking home a total of $300.00 in sponsor funds plus track payout. See ya'll at Temple, Carl

I think I found the gremlins in my tune up that has caused my inconsistent performaces (at the track), well at least those not caused by age, attitude, vision, lazyness, and hard headedness. Oh yea, I forgot to mention forgetfulness better known as (croneyism). The nitrous solenoid on one side was not functioning. Parts on order, maybe then I can give Ray and them Nolen boys a run at low et and speed. Snowman I had that massive break out 1st round out on the motor, not bad for a little 78x90.5 short shifting and lifting at the first cone. When you gonna make it back? O.J. #521 David Crow, you better bring a car to Temple or I am gonna pester you all winter!
