Nawss spy photos. Does red go with my interior? I sense some 6's(1/8) and 10's(1/4) coming on.

Fuel regulators. Right side is nawss with return line.

Dave, I'm not too concerned with broken potato chip(type 1) parts. I get on an average two years of racing and 150 runs on a 3.88 r&p. The biggest concern with nitrous oxide is Detonation. I have studied nitrous for two years now. Worked with Gary Calvert on his nitrous project all last year. We both learned a whole lot about how nitrous reacts with the air cooled VW engine and what nitrous really wants to get the power out. It was an absolue blast working with Gary last year. Half the time, Gary was like a kid in a candy store. Nitrous is a lot of fun when treated with respect. I hope to take what I learned and be good right out of the box. The key to nitrous oxide is timing, bottle pressure, and fuel pressure. You have a handle on at least those three things, nitrous can be fun. The key to the potato chip is when you activate the juice. Got a handle on that too. Carl

Eric, did you get a new camera? Maybe you were trying one of these soft light shots but I think you should just clean the lense.

Looks like the beginings of that 10.90 class! Carl,Gary,John and team Graffeo when its done.
Even without the 10.90 index it will be fun to watch some fast cars this year. Shocked

How bout some more spy photos. These are some nawss motors I've been working on this off season. The one in the front is Gary Calvert's primary 78x94 nawss motor. This is the one that dropped #4 exhaust valve. Turns out, the original valve springs in the 48x38 super flow heads just couldn't handle nawss use. Just flat lost pressure and allowed valve float. Broke the end of the valve at the head area. What a mess. Punched a hole in a wiseco piston and beat up the head. Barry Blythe has done a great job repairing the head along with a new set of wiseco pistons( valve reliefs by Lyle Cherry). I also put a top secret nitrous cam grind from Stephen Long Racing Cams in the motor. And a new set of K Motion K800 valve springs to control those big sucking valves.

The motor in the back ground is Gary's baby nawss 78x90.5 back up motor.  these motors have seen heavy nitrous use. Baby nawss pushed Gary's lead sled super beetle drag car to 7.08(1/8) and monster nawss went 6.66(1/8). Baby nawss has been freshed up and ready for action too. Not bad numbers for 78 stroke motors.

The block over to the left is mine. My motor will be recieving a heathy dose of nawss this year. Just got the block back from line boring(Automotive Machine) and installing some new AA forged pistons(don't trust 94 cima on juice). Valve job with some new chevy valve springs( from Steghen Long Racing Cams).

Hey Don. I researched nitrous for two years and worked with Gary last year. Learned a lot. The two best web sites I've seen so far for reseach are: www.gofastzone.com and www.graperacing.com . On gofastzone, click onto "content-tech" on main menu, then click onto nitrous info. The nitrous 101 is the best info I have seen anywhere on the web. On grape racing, click onto tech articles then nitrous. Again, very good info.

Yea, my car does 7.15 already. A 50 shot should put me 6.70 or so. Just putting it on just for something new to do. Probably will not have it operational until April. Still have a lot of pumbing to do. All NOS stuff. A real good nitrous parts web site is www.nitroussupply.com . You can get one of their 10lb bottles for 139.00. Lowest price I've seen.

That's to power up my Pioneer 8 track tape player with my Jensin 6x9 tri-axil speakers for that old school Quad sound. Keep an eye on it to make sure it works good because that what you will be seeing all the way down the track--the back of my car--.LOL
