Saturday, June 23, 2007 @ Texas Raceway in Kennedale, TX.Gates open at 1:00 pm, time trials begin at 2:00 pm. LYLE CHERRY ENTERPRISES is the title sponsor of this race, and will give the event winner a $150 cash bonus. Thanks, Lyle!This event will be run in conjunction with the Texas PRA, so there should be plenty of great VWs for the folks at Texas Raceway to check out. Payout is based on car count. More than 21 cars pays the winner, runner up, and semi-finalists, while a field of less than 21 cars pays winner and runner up only. NOTE: To be eligible to win sponsor bonuses at this race, you must be a current TVWDRA member in good standing prior to the first round of VW eliminations.Texas Raceway 3830 S. Kennedale New Hope Rd Kennedale, TX 76060 (817) 572-3580 Located off of Hwy 820 South. Here's a map. Exit 442A - Kennedale Pkwy/Mansfield Hwy. Go south to 3rd light, turn right. Track is 1 1/2 miles down, on the right. Be sure to check out the Texas Raceway Bracket Racing Rules and Regulations. Hope to see you there!

we need to push our friends and car club members to show up. man i think with 17 cars at the race on the 9th, we only need 4 more cars to race with 21. we can make this happen.

Even if it's just for fun - just to see what your car would do down the track.
We need more VW's racing - take the racing world by it's ... uh, by storm.

k shawn I have a couple cars, you can race the bowling ball but if you brake it you fix it You mean break? heh. Give me a month or so, and I might take you up on that offer. |

How about calling out Mr Haldiman and some of the other Aircoolers? Steve got a taste of the money and fun at the Volks Blast - you know he wants more... Talk it up!  |

What are u talkin about I raced at ennis and the last race and I will be there at the next one too!
Sorry - got some names mixed up. I meant to say that you guys should call out Robert Haldiman. While you're at it, see if you can get get Mike Amaral and some of the Type 2 guys into the mix again...   |

It's not Robert Haldiman ... not quite sure what Robert's last name is. He was at Kennedale with us last weekend, but like Chuck stated - he's in the process of putting turbo on his bug and he will be back. As for the Type 2's .... I think beer drinking will get in the way of racing for those guys. Jerry plans on racing one of his cars, since he's a paid TVWDRA member - he just needs to get em running. |
